The 78-88 tank sender just jumped to $567.10

On a positive note at least they are available again - they have 200 in Germany.
At that price they will be there for a long time 8>).

The later unit works OK on the earlier cars apart from the orange low fuel light - if you can do without that it is a lot cheaper at $329.

They are rebuildable, as long as they're not completely obliterated by rust.

I fixed it, for you.

I've been selling off old 911 stuff, for about 4 months. Even though the cars have gone crazy in price, the used parts prices are no where near 50% of new. That pricing seems to be unique to the 928 market....

OK, just wish I still owned that mechanical injection off the 2.8 911 engine that you tuned for me My crystal ball must be busted but what the hey I SOLD a running early E-type jag roadster for $3,500 and an XK-150 too ... Just gave my 928 to my daughter but she had to ship it to Dallas !

Some BMWs have the same type of sender untis. The '89 750 for example. Doesn't have the protective tube but the float is pretty much the same as the 928.
