Default 1982 928 starting issues

ok so a liitle back story, i bought a non running 1982n 928 v8 5 spd...
over the last couple weeks, ive dropped, drained and cleaned the gas tank, replaced the fuel filters, fuel pump and fuel line...
Replaced the groud battery cable, the brake reservior grommets, all the fuses in the fuse panel, flasher, fuel injector and fuel pump relay

went under the hood, replaced the vacuum lines, took the fuel injectors out and replaced the grommets and fuel lines attached to them, and some other various dry rotted hoses, removed and cleaned the spark plugs.. i have spark

so anyhow today i decided to try n start it, it turns over n fires for a second or so, it wouldnt start and stay running on its own, had to use starting fluid or a little bit of fuel, it ran till that was out, did it enough to actually get the engine up to operating temp, then it would just crank and not fire unless it had fuel or starter fluid sprayed in it, then it would run for a little bit, and run with low rpm, all the gauges worked as well..

so im thinking its the cold start valve so i checked the thermoswitch and it had 12 volts on both sides while cranking, so i tried to jumper it and get the csv to work and its a no go...
is the CSV able to be removed and cleaned? or is it best to replace it?

also, while checking everything, my fuel injectors... only the front 2 leaked, they leaked after cranking it over many times as if the hoses filled with fuel and had no choice to leak... is this a sign of something?

im leaning towards the cold start valve being the culprit, waiting to hear replies before i buy it..

If it has sat for a period of time try to rig it to run and let it idle for a few hours, i had an 82 auto that sat for six years, drained tank, replaced pump and filter, filled with premium and a little octane booster and got it idling, it ran like crap for 3 hours, after hour 4 it smoothed out and ran okay, replaced spark plugs and it ran like it wasnt a day old

Also, it did the same thing you are describing for about an hour before it would even idle, also double check that your new fuel pumps working, should make some noise, they come broken sometimes

got it running and driving down the street, been on the back burner, sitting in the garage, have it torn apart... having a carbon fiber hood made as well as the sun roof panel, and some other trim parts done in carbon fiber as well, tore the interior out to replace old wires and prep for all new interior.. bought euro heads, cams, intake and throttle body... currently in austria until christmas, so in themean time just buying parts i need or want for it.
