9.00am Friday at HomeDepot I35W - breakfast then head South at 9.30am.
Bring your radios and make sure your tank is full of gas.

So then. 2 questions, kinda for everyone. Last year we were afforded the opportunity to take in the shooting range, will that be available on this trip?
And, Carole and I had decided that we've seen boats, and we've seen cars going fast in a straight line...so...we're thinking about a relaxing day in the local area, a little breakfast, at the hotel or otherwise, perhaps a trip to a beach for an early morning walk, maybe a shop or two, maybe a gun range, maybe a nice lunch, or something more local and less...regimented.
Any like minded folks?

Hmmmmm...I guess if we plan it all out in advance, then it's kinda regimented though, huh?

Default Have Fun

Looks like Rockport is not in the cards for me this year due to family commitments. Have a great time and hope to see lots of big fish pictures!

There is always an open invitation for free range time at our indoor range for all Rennlist members attending the Spring Fling........

If nothing else, just stop by the shoot the bull.......we are full of it.......

Do you allow rifles at your range? Shotguns?

Rifles that shoot pistol calibers only 9 mm, .40, 44, 45 etc, 30 carbine is ok, no 5.56 or .308 ect....no shotguns or shotgun shells in revolvers...

For those looking for a more relaxing day I suggest the Rockport self guided tour of homes which takes place this coming weekend for more details see > http://rockporttourofhomes.com/ you can do it at your own pace and it may be more appealing to the ladies as well.

Texas Maritime Museum: http://texasmaritimemuseum.org (hours 10am-4pm)

The Aquarium at Rockport Harbor: http://www.rockportaquarium.com (hours 1pm-4pm)

Rockport Beach: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractio...ort_Texas.html

Note: The Texas Maritime Museum, Aquarium, and Rockport Beach, are all within walking distance of each other and approximately a 2 mile drive south of host hotel.

After breakfast, meet in the parking lot about 10:30ish and hang for a bit. Short drive south-park in front of The Aquarium (large parking lot and it's free !) Short walk over to the Texas Maritime Museum, (they open at 10am) then short walk over to town beach, short walk back to The Aquarium and check that out if you like. Jump in the cars and take a (1 hour round trip) leisurely ride up to: http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/go...d/the-big-tree. Contact Anthony at: http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/go...d/the-big-tree If you would like to hit the range and let him know how may are coming. Host hotel just around the corner from range. Sat night 7:00pm dinner at: http://www.cherylsbythebay.com/ PLEASE GO TO CHERYL'S WEBISTE AND SEE WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE FOR DINNER. IT WOULD BE BEST ONCE WE ARE ALL AT CHERYL'S TO PLACE YOUR FOOD ORDER TO REDUCE THE WAIT TIME. T
Yeah, Tony, that sounds like it's right "on time"! Carole and I would like to exercise our rights to throw some lead down range and we'll have our "ticket" written down for Cheryl's when we get there!

Andy, I heard about this at the breakfast. I'm so sorry man! That's a pretty good little "boo-boo".

Don, Sorry to hear you cannot make it. Andy, doesn't appear like anyone was hurt and that's a good thing. Sorry to see your beauty was damaged but looks to be repairable. You do know you don't have to have a 928 to attend this event, get yourself and Adrienne down to Rockport in your *** dragger ! T

Michelle and I will be there late on Friday (likely after dinner as we will leave San Antonio close to 5). Will be there through Sunday morning. Will also likely follow Patman's lead and relax locally on Saturday.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning and planning on arriving mid afternoon. Where is everyone meeting up before dinner?
