An electrical solution I need...
Putting a DVR rear view mirror into the kid's 928.
I would like the camera to be able to retain power for say 30min after the car is turned off (consumption rate is very low, I have no issues about it) but why I want it to retain power is for the EyeFi card to upload the day's data so if anything happens we miss, we have it archived.
Getting 12v to the camera is no big deal. What would I put in the path that would supply power and charge when the car starts?
I'm thinking a handful of small supercaps, they will take 1000s of use cycles...provide enough power for the 30min required when sized right, and charge instantly the next time the car starts.
Comments?
