Default Oil pressure gauge is fickle

When cold my oil pressure gauge works as it should at start up
Then after about 15 minutes it will drop to the bottom, never to register again.
The warning light does not go on when the needle drops.
I have replaced the sensor but now I am thinking it could be the connection in the pod. I have cleaned the 14 pin, any other suggestions?

I'm going to agree that it's a connection in the pod. My temp gauge sometimes does the same and gas does the opposite (dead until it warms up a bit).

There's the plug connection where the harness goes into the cluster, where the plastic connects with the diamond shaped plastic thingies and the connection where the pins go into the gauge itself.

I did all three and the temp gauge worked find...

For a while.

Pulling the pod for a refresh will solve all kinds of electrical issues.

After I cleaned every connection, light bulb, circuit path on the foil and adjusted the voltmeter, the voltage output from the alternator at the jump post rose over .5 volts.

Now the lights are brighter, all the gauges work and most importantly to me, the voltmeter is now accurate within .1 volts from the back of the alternator to the jump post to the gauge and with a functioning warning light.
