Just install collapsed motor mounts and install Carl's brace upside down. Problem solved!
Or buy one and fill the engraving with lab metal, finish it smooth and powdercoat black. When the supply of unbent factory braces runs out these will be a very useful alternative.

I don't mind the branding, actually. My stock brace is currently unbent, but seeing how they do apparently bend easier than I would have expected, I should probably put this on my list...

Unfinished as in mill finish and unpolished. Its popular for the guys who want to paint their crossbrace. Paint does not stick to polished too well. Besides, why pay for polishing if you are going to paint it?

Thanks Dan!
Kibort: then you aren't looking. Lots of street-driven 928's have bowed cross-braces that have yielded a long time ago. Very common. Your not one of those "the 928 does not twist!" guys, are you?

I never had the issue, but i wonder if the roll bar or cage will reduce that amount of twist up front to not bend the bar. i ujse the stock bar and have no issues or bending.

andersons was a little more stout, but never went forward until he sanblasted the chassis and welded in the front supports to the shock towers and then some. until then, he was using a stock cross bar too. straight as an arrow.

Just imagine you being able to sell 10x as much without your "brand" on them. Hell, I've got customers wanting to toss them in the trash to show they don't advertise your "brand". You can make money here. Come on Carl, make some money with out the branding.

Kibort: so the WSM is wrong then when it said "never lift the vehicle without the cross brace in place". Interesting.
And uni-body cars are perfectly torsionaly stiff.
And the White Zombie (and many others) extend their roll cage to the front for giggles. They don't need to, they just didn't want that much access to their engine.
Please...
