did they make a 1981 928 S model?
i have a 1981 928 black on black 5 spd car... US Ljet version... someone mentioned it could be an S model but i dont see anything that says S.. lol
can someone explain what makes an S model an S model? make sense?

As Anders pointed out - S model 4.7L was available as a ROW car from 1980.
1981 US cars were 4.5L
1981 US cars were 4.5L

in 81 there was a "competition package" option which included the addition of the S model spoilers, disc wheels and also sport seats. So it looked like an S but didnt have the 4.7L S engine.

Bruno, do a vin decode to get options list to see if it is truly a comp car, not added by previous owner.
