Hell, Mark blew up my 85 Euro and my HRC XR650R Desert Racer, BOTH in the same DAY!!

Ok, Ok, well he blew the Oil hose on the Euro and Blew just air through the XR because he forgot to turn the gas on and ran out down the road, but still.

Hi Mark!

But all he can do is floor it . The bet is that the 928 engine cant survive willow springs, but it can survive 8 years of racing and 60 race days banging on the rev limiter. so, no 4th to 1st upshifts.
There is a chance his brute force can do something to the engine that no other driver can do.... Thats the risk, but ive seen him drive. there is nothing he is doing that should endanger the engine, but going fast! He has to blip downshifts too. that creates forces that break CV joints and everything down the line to the engine. Way more force than the engine can produce.
the real bet is can i run faster in my car than him... I say that's not going to happen. he is the master of Willow! Now, that might be a second bet if we can go to buttonwillow or some place we have never raced, or raced little before.

Hi Mark!

Dave
Ha ha.... yes, its always the same story... these "blown engines" always have some kind of checkered past! He just is the lucky one to but the nail in the coffin. I remember Brian's blown motors. one was a junk yard motor. blew. one was an older one that ran with 4 quarts low oil during the Lemons race. others have been modified with funny mods that contribute to low oil flow. somehow, I've raced 5-6 separate engines and all of them have survived. And we are talking a LOT of race hours here combined.

I'm only betting on Mark if the competition involves pugil sticks.

I say you should make this a real interesting challenge. Get your car, any car that Mark A chooses and Carls 900hp beast on the same track and have a free for all. I'd fly out for that one.

As you know, its is HP that wins any race, that is unless you are talking about torque AT the rear wheels.... then, the two are synonymous

All we would need is his cup car, my car and then Carl and thats how it would finish! I think we need to get another car, slightly close to mine and have a 928 race off! Now that would be fun. Basically, 928s run NASA ST2 class. (limited to 8:1 weight to HP)
