Please don't guess and be careful running on less than 8 as a CAT fire can come next!
Get a timing light and see whats what, should point you to what's not working if its an ignition issue.

Good luck, keep us posted.

I think the idea is to check all the plug wires. Maybe also use a piece of rubber tubing to listen to each injector.

I'd stop trying to run it, and pull the belt covers off to check the timing marks.

You say you have spark on all 8? Which leaves fuel, and compression as the two candidates.

is the spark steady. you could be sparking on all 8 but you need to know if it is steady.
get a spark tester and make sure it is firing consistently. erratic spark could be a dead amp on one side or the other.

i checked the maf and its connected & rebuilt buy JDS in 2008. its got spark on both sides of the motor (confirmed with timing light) I changed out the ignition amps with known good ones...no change. Fuel pump and filter are 2 years old. I intend to check the fuel pressure, but have not got that far. spark plug wires, coils are 2 years old.
could this be a LH failure?

spark plugs 1-4 are fed by both distis (as are 5-8)..........check all the plugs for spark down one side of the engine.
