You have made out your own Christmas parts buying list well in advance for the annual 928 Intl. 1/2 off sale in December.

When you spend money well beyond a sensible economic rationale, which means you've put money in well beyond the cars value. But that isn't the key issue, it is always about having the 928 running like it should. As intended by the factory.

You also feel a "Sense of satisfaction*" that although the car is toast, it did it's job in the crash and protected the occupants.
*"satisfaction" isn't the right word, but I can't think of it right now.

You read literally thousands of postings here, almost exclusively about serious or annoying problems. Yet you still take advantage of a "deal" on a ten-year-stored car that "ran when it was parked". Then make your first investment for it in "upgraded" wheels and tires.

When, like me, you don't drive the 928 in the rain ( like it could get a cold or something...) and every morning you look out the window and if it's raining you feel your day it's not going to be the same....
