posted in the 928 forum, why?
For almost 20 years I have directly or indirectly met and spoke to dozens and dozens of 928 owners via old Porschlist, Rennlist, 928OC and the Porsche Club of North America. Most 928 owners will bend over backwards for another owner no matter what the subject.
Having a 928 owner look at another Porsche gives me the confidence they will give me an honest opinion of a car that is 12 hours away from me.

ok newb, you obviously don't know who John V is. Your shark card is revoked until you study up and demonstrate that you know who the real dues paying deans of the 928 community are - These are the guys that keep the path paved for guys like me to keep on driving.

John is right in asking for help with a 911 here in the 928 forum. There is a logical mathematical connection between the digits of 928 and 911. Follow along....
As the more powerful engine of a 928 is in the front, one can mathematically and logically express the relationship of its digits by simply adding them in a fore to aft sequence....
9+2+8 = 19
As the 911 engine performance is inferior to the 928, one must apply a sort of multiplication of its output in order to equal that of the 928. Additionally, because the 911 engine is located aft in the car, it is logical to mathematically express its digits in reverse multiplication order....
1x19 = 19
As it is possible to mathematically express both the 928 and 911 with the same numeric outcome, John's 911 request is therefore acceptable here in the 928 forum.
As it says in my signature, I'm no 1mug.

Thanks everyone. You guys crack me up.
I do have to say the Porsche I'm looking at has a quicker 0-60 time, way more horsepower and the same top speed as my 928GT.
Big advantage, I can drive it in the winter while the GT is sleeping.
And it's a V8

Hans went above and beyon for me. He took time out of his busy weekend and took dozens and dozens of pictures for me. Detailing all aspects of the car.
RKD in OKC did a similar exercise for me on another car. To bad that sold before I could make a deal.

If it's what I'm thinking, you're gonna love it.
Good luck with the acquisition.
