I will take the RMB, but need to first confirm something.

My VIN ends in 928JS860270.
The RMB only fits cars with VIN later than 92GS861000

With J being later than G, is that a fit?

Jeff, I believe that style RMB fits 87+ cars i.e. S4 rear-bumper style.

The "J" in your VIN is '88, will work. I don't know where your "92GS861000" came from, there is a missing character somewhere. The "G" would be '86 which is a different rear muffler. Buy it, be happy.

False alarm, I read my 88 VIN, not my 85, it is 923FS861978

The parts catalog shows that "92GS861000 and later" has the exhaust type that can use the RMB in that configuration.

So..I cant use this, I'm an F, so I am before the big mid-year swap to newer things.
