1985 928S - replacement of power window switch - wire colors different
Hi Guys,
I am replacing the passenger side power window switch (1985 U.S./Cdn car) - ordered the new one from Roger and it arrived today. The only hitch is the new switch has different colored wires than the original one.
The original switch has red, green, brown and black wires.
The new switch has red, green, brown and yellow wires.
When I go to put the wires in the switch connector do I make the assumption the black wire on the old switch corresponds to the yellow wire on the new switch, and the red, green and brown all correspond to each other?
I have searched high and low for any info on this topic not been able to find anything, so any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks Maine Porsche ... That was the clue I needed. Got my hands on the wiring diagram and sorted it out... In the end all the colors corresponded, with the yellow taking the place of the black.
One more step completed to better knowing the car.
