Any suggestions?
Only the hydraulic system will allow this to happen. Either the clutch master or the clutch slave has the internal rubber piston seal partially collapse, with allows fluid to leak past that seal.

Impossible to tell which one (master or slave) is bypassing.

The best thing to do is to replace both and start over, unless you have evidence that one is relatively new.

Your clutch slipping problem is a different problem.

The slave is cheaper and much easier to do. Bleeding the system is a challenge is either case.

A tip for the master is to replace the guts from inside the car and leave the body in place. It's almost impossible to get to. Search for ideas. One is to cut a hole in the sidewall of the engine bay to gain access. A good thing to do if the engine is out, btw.

Here's one I found. I had the exact same problem with the pilot bearing. Hopefully you will just do the first few steps and then the clutch pack will drop out. Do not drop it on your head. It comes out suddenly and it isn't light.
