WYAIT
I have a confession. I have not been taking WYAIT advice.
I have been bit in the hind end every time. Last spring, I had my A-Arms out when I replaced my struts. I examined the A-Arms and thought they had a few more miles left in them. A couple months later, the bushings failed. While I was replacing the water bridge and seals, I replaced every coolant hose. I had the coolant reservoir; yes the 36 year old plastic one. Did I replace it. No. It did not have any cracks and it held pressure. After my first extended drive, the tank cracked and I had a pool of coolant under the car.
I thought it would be helpful to have good list of WYAIT items that should be addressed.
1. Upper Control Arm while replacing struts
2. Coolant tank while replacing coolant liness
3. Head light washer pump while the head light torsion arm is out (I'm going to follow this advice).

Knowledge is gained by experience and education. Both depend on not making the same mistake again. One relies on learning from the mistakes of others. It's by far the cheapest way to learn.
Thanks for sharing so that others may learn.
Coolant reservoir and hoses... check.
Headlight washer pump... not in a while. I pulled mine, cleaned it, replaced all the tubing and check valves, all about fifteen years ago. I should probably check it again sometime.
Control Arm Bushings... Still original, but need to swap in rebuilt arms in the next few years while they are still available.

Yeah, I know about WYAIT's. I started out with a blown head gasket and ended up with replacing all flex hoses, bearings and seals yoy can think of from front to back...
