Tools yes. Books, not so much. There is an Owners manual, and some radio stuff but that's about it,

I'm not crossing my fingers but he did say there are spare parts, and a workshop manual set. I should have probably pressed that, but I will follow up with him.

And a set of 7.5 inch wheels (4) that look like the same ones on the car, but are (rob says) for a 944 s2.

That's so intersting.... Porsche and their color codes.

I don't want to dig in too deep before the red and white car are gone, but I wonder how much of that wiring still exists.

Also wanted to share the good omen,

Which is that the voltage gauge was inop when picked up, and by the time I got home, it was fine.

When you buy an old Porsche and gauges start working on the way home, you know you have done well.

I'm glad to see gt in the options. Because the owners manual just says s4. Whew.

Gonna need a non-buggered switch panel for the dash clear/door lock area. Let's make it look like the decade it's from.

Very nicely bought. Definitely chase up the extras - if it came with "some radio stuff" which is the original radio, you'll be needing it

89 GT is both an excellent driver, and a good long-term keeper for making all-original.

89 has a few unique parts.. the switch panel with the reset button on it you've already spotted.

Also the steering column stalk assembly is unique to 89 and insanely pricy new ($650+ IIRC), so grabbing a good used one is a good idea if you can find one, especially as the horn contact on it isn't designed to be replaceable on the 89 switches, unlike 90-95.

You and Jim Doerr have both scored good GT's lately.. nice to see bargains going to long-timers
