928 Wins best in class and BEST IN SHOW
#17
Pat's car is marvelous and he's done most of the work on it himself. I'm super happy to see the car and Pat get this recognition!
I've been trying to be nice to Pat so that he will leave this car to me in his will if he passes first.

I had already posted some pix in the May at Mayo's thread on Saturday night. So when I first saw this thread ...well...Folks I gotta say, it's nice to wake up in a Monday morning stupor to see a thread about another 928 winning something...then realizing it's you they're talking about. They actually had dual "Best in show" awards at this event. One for air cooled and one for water cooled. maybe that was just to give us 928 fellas a chance!
Either way though, thanks for all the laudatory commentary. I'm certainly glad to have the hardware sitting on the mantle, but I'm fully aware that if more of you guys woulda shown up, well, I'm sure the results woulda been different!
I'll tell ya it was a good event, from food to good looking cars. Only downside is that Mrs. Patman has developed a fixation on a car that I'll not soon be able to provide to her...a 356 cabriolet.
Thanks again everyone, I'm blushing.
