I got one of these a week or so ago and it works very well! Adrienne will be pleased when she takes my 928 one a week long road trip to Florida next month.

Great price Roger!

"Roger, who is rebuilding them?"

If I told you I would have to kill you 8>)

That would spoil my competitive edge.

Haha okay. I'll contact you when ready. Irks me that the cruise doesn't work. Narrowed it down to the brain.

Awesome Roger... I was just reading your fan amplifier rebuild thread and I was about to reply "Now if we could just get a reliable CC brain rebuild" then I saw this thread. I'll be ordering one soon.

I'm building a shopping list for Sean. That goes on it if he thinks it will help. My current cruise control seems to have ADD and soon forgets where it was set.

And we can expect the '88-'94 units available when?

I wouldn't mind gambling $135 on one of these, without educating myself on the extensive literature on the subject and without doing the full suite of testing. Of course, I'd check the fuse and ... what else? At least, I'd have one less failure point to worry about.

BTW: I asked an independent guy in Albany last week about fixing it (they go by the tagline "Bavarian Rocket Scientists), and he seemed confident about it. I expressed a little skepticism. He gave me a smug look, led me over to a cabinet, and pulled out a special diagnostic tool. Roger, I presume your source has one of these magical devices?

Any guarantee on these. Another rebuilding channel I'm familiar with offers a lifetime replacement guarantee on their rebuilt units.

I guess I'll need one of these as well... Add it to the list. Should I have my direct deposit just set up to go directly to you Roger?

Anthony.

Roger,
Would you offer a rebuild and return of a unit? I wouldn't mind waiting for my original to come back.
Thanks.

I just received- and installed- one of Roger's rebuilt cruise control units. I sent him two CC amplifiers a couple of weeks ago, and they came back with 928sRUs stickers on them.

Installed one into my '87S4 and took it for a spin. The speed locks instantaneously and holds speed very accurately, up and down hills.

I am delighted by the results- money well spent!

Thanks Roger!

Yeah, let me stick my two cents in here too. I had an issue where the CC worked but it was slow. If I set it at 160 mph for instance it would slow to about 150 mph before it caught. Same at 70...it would catch at about 60. Roger's price of $39.95 was a bit high, but the one I have works exactly as advertised. We're Pleased. Ya know you always worry about a rebuilt unit, but no issues here.
