Sharks in Marquette would be much nicer. College town, plenty of hotels, decent pubs and bars, and then either drive to Copper Harbor one day and crest Brockway mountain's scenic drive and back along Lake Superior to Eagle Harbor or a short jaunt to Big Bay (where Antimony of a Murder was filmed). Oh, and for the faint of heart, to afraid to cross five miles of suspension bridge, Mighty Mac, you can go along Lake Michigan through Wisconsin...and save on the amount of underwear you have to pack.
Of course...you'd have to wait until July...so to be sure all of the snow is gone.
We're going to do this...this summer...I'll report back about my findings.
