SITM is NOT CANCELED!! This is some sort of BS rumor and I would appreciate it if you could tell me where you read this so I can correct this misinformation.
BTW, the registration page is stil there and active on my website www.928gt.com

It was, what appears to me, a mistake, on the Facebook 928 group. Someone in California said the Sharks in the mountains had been cancelled. I believe it was determined that they have a like named event in CA, that was cancelled.

The line on the site that says:

-has the email address linked incorrectly... what you get when you click on the email address is: 9JR928GT@gmail.com -which then proves undeliverable.
Another email link on the site works fine though.

Years ago, I was visiting my parents who have a place on the Beech Mtn., with my wife. Heading up past Fred's near the top we saw dozens and dozens of 928s, it was unreal to see so many 928s. Some were driving their Porsches snaking up or down the switchbacks, while others were parked, filling up the parking lots. We had never heard of the event at that time, although I've loved Porsches of all kinds since my early 20s. Have a blast this year!

All, I am not going to be able to attend due to family scheduling conflicts, not to mention Marlene is still on stands awaiting motor mounts and oil pan gasket (but alternate was to drive up in the 996). I have a room reserved at the Best Western in Banner Elk and thought I would give anyone who might need a room the chance at it before I cancel it. I am sure that I could call and give them the name and as long as you provide your credit card at check in we would be good.
First PM gets the room! Will definitely try again next year!

Looking forward to seeing the pictures. We have to miss this year due to my buying a new house. We'll be there next year hopefully with the 16 year old's 924s, too 
Banner Elk/Beech Mtn is becoming like a second home to us because of SITM and that makes this weekend even that much harder to miss.
