What things do the cooling hoses connect to from the upper oil cooler and the side tanks? I ask because it looks like at least one goes to the air conditioner compressor. I've replaced the trans. cooling hoses front and back with the kit 928sRus sells and feel like the other ones should be replaced also. They appear to be a larger diameter hose. I should note that my A/C isn't functioning at this point but that fix wil come later. My car is an'88 s4 .Thanks,Doug.

The left side radiator tank cooling hoses (top and bottom) go to/from the engine oil fittings by the pressure switch and oil filter. The right side top and bottom hoses are for the trans cooler. I think they are same size as the engine oil cooler hoses. I had all 4 front cooler hoses rebuilt a few years ago, only to find it wasnt much cheaper than genuine items. AC compressor is on right side of the engine and is not involved here.

Doug - are you referring to the cooler sitting on top of the condenser in front of the radiator? If so that is the transmission cooler tied in with the cooler in the radiator side tank on the right side of the car. Transmission has two coolers.

Oil cooler is in the radiator side tank on the left side of the car.
