He's very active on Facebook, and hosts GTGs for the local ATL.
We keep close tabs on each other because we're both relatively new to the 928 business. He's a good guy.

Richard is a friend and as others have said, a "good guy". I see him a couple times a month when I am in ATL on business. He has a HUGE stockpile of used parts and complete engines, transmissions and such. He has several resto projects that are ongoing and takes the odd "Porsche Service" job to make ends meet.

I dropped in on him unannounced while I was in Atlanta a few weeks ago. I had not met him. He showed me a couple restorations he was working on and gave me some great advice. He's a good guy and a great resource for you all in the Atlanta area.

Ditto on all the accolades for RichVM. I know him and he is a great guy with lots of insight and dedicated to the 928. He hosts monthly get togethers when the weather is good and the local Atlanta community appreciates his contribution.
Thanks Rich for all you do for us

I want to second all that has been said about Richard. He is very unselfish with his precious time and abundant 928 knowledge. One day he was helping me trouble shoot and idle issue. He rattled off a dozen things to check that I could never remember and said in his accented English, "But why am I telling you these things?" He had a wry smile when he said this knowing that he was giving away the info that he makes his living by. Great resource, great guy. I also want to resurrect this thread to remind everybody that he has a beautiful new huge facility near the original Garage 928. It is at:
1825 Grassland Parkway
Suite B
Alpharetta, GA 30004
If you ever get a chance, go see him. You'll be enriched for the trip.

Thank you all for the positive feedback! I am not very often here on Rl but here is a short update as Hobibill said above we just recently moved in to another building which will be held as a showroom and for "light" work while the old shop will be utilized for the main and "dirty" work!
I will have a opening celebration in the next weeks sometime and will announce it here. Everybody is welcome to stop in regardless if you have a 928 or not.

Rich did a major service on my 89 S4 and did a terrific job. I traveled to his shop from Montgomery, AL and it was absolutely worth it. He is an expert on 928s and a great person to work with. I highly recommend him.
