Default 83 with K-Jetronic impulse sensor

G'day all, I am hoping someone can tell me if an 83 shark with K-Jetronic has an impulse/crank sensor as part of the ignition system. I know the 84 has one but not sure if the 83 has one. Just trying to help someone out.

Mind if I ask the issue you are having? I am chasing some issues with mine, specifically the front two injectors on each side of the motor not firing for some reason.

Wondering if maybe something you have went through might help out.
Thanks!

K-jet doesn't have that. The sensor for ignition timing is supplied in the distributor. The injectors are all constantly open together and don't pulse like electric injectors.

(When I saw this I wondered if you had some weird variant like the O2 sensor version.)

I had a misfire once, and after a bit of digging I could get rid of it by cracking open any of them and releasing pressure in the distributor head. My local wrench reckoned this was a sign of dirt in the dist head being held over an injector port, and falling off when pressure was released. Problem went away by itself after a few occurrences.
How can you tell that the front injectors are failing? Try moving one to another cylinder - if problem moves with it, its the injector. If it (problem) stays where it was , its the dist head port, or the steel pipe. Try removing the pipe and cleaning it with brake cleaner or similar.
