Default 6 speed conversion in progress

So, I've had my Z06 trans and other bits for a few months. Today my kit arrived from Carl. Well organized and appears to be well made. I've already assembled the cross member and laid out the rest of the hardware. Installation will happen this weekend. Now I'm motivated to get the rest of the car back together.

The goal is every week to have some progress no matter how little.

I have 5 projects going on currently

6 speed conversion - I have all the parts so this will go in 1st

Going from progressive springs to linear - Have all those parts and since I'm doing rear suspension it will go in at the same time

Engine - new heads with ITB's and Simard cams... - I have most the parts but will need dyno work too this will be done after the suspension and trans conversion

Hood mods..... at least I have my hood back

Center console.... I'm considering one of the newer Parrot head units, but this is low priority...

I'm hoping to get the car up and running by early spring....

In addition to all that I guess I will need to keep the website updated....

I need to start making some room in the garage so I will be getting rid of some parts but that will be a different thread....

That would 5 (4 in sig line + the $200 '85) and 2-3 that run at any one time.

Time is not the issue as there are 24 hours in any one day and I believe that sleep can be over-rated. My issue would be the cost required to overcome the necessary "deferred" maintenance on these particular 928s. However, having more than one allows me to "take one out of commission" to fix/upgrade something but keeps me driving a 928. See?? There is a rationalization there

Now when I had 7, that was too many.

I read on the Eibach site somewhere that progressive springs worked better at putting power down. So interested in why the change to linear?

Isn't that some sort of oxymoron: Ford pinto racing valve springs?

SG,
We need to get you stickers for your rear quarter windows that will cause surprise, shock and awe in all ricers, street racers and streetlight to streetlight dragsters:

Equipped with Ford pinto racing valve springs

You and I have talked seriously about these before, and I know the reasons you used them, but it still makes me laugh just on general principle.

I heard that the smile wipes right off the face of jack at 150. Is that correct or was somebody just yanking my chain??
