If you have the VIN I can run your option codes (if you don't already have them enumerated).

Thanks Rob. My VIN is WPOZZZ92ZMS800800.

Yeah the seats with purple piping are something else. Drivers side wearing slightly but not bad for age. Will see if I can get the piping on this seat recolored. I've seen a GTS here in NZ that had the full magenta interior & it was a little too much - nice to break it up with the black seats and mats etc.

Unfortunately the GEBA pumps do not have the plastic impeller and that is why I do not sell them. We are talking to GEBA about changing to plastic as Porsche and Laso did after all the failures.

Looks like Laso is stopping making the later 87 to 95 WP as volumes are so low. We sell about 4 times as many early style as they are cheaper and fit with the PKT. So no issues for the 78 to 86 cars and for any car fitted/or to be fitted with a PKT.

I do have a couple of later Laso WP's left with plastic impellers for $465.

Well I ended up getting my WP from 928 Intl so all good now. Thanks everyone for their advice. Also cambelt replaced. Had a lot done over the last few mths - new door & window seals, cam cover gaskets, seals, fuel lines, knock sensors, idle stabilizer valve, air con condenser (from Design911 UK), rear seat belt, wipers, wheels recoated etc. Now need to get the front spoiler taken back to black (previous owner had it painted - aargh!) & front bumper repainted then work my way inside. Thanks also to Roger at 928s r Us - has been really helpful.
Car is really running well - no more cutting out/idle issues -rock solid. Only thing is there's still a buzzing noise in the dash on start up which is annoying. It tends to stop after a couple of minutes but can just be heard all the time if the stereo is off. They think this is the fan for cabin air intake temperature sensor. Anyone know if this is a major to get fixed?
I gather this affects the air con so I couldn't just remove it?
Also I have the Design 90 16' wheels. The rears sit quite a way in & I was wondering if anyone has put spacers on these so the wheel sits closer to the side of the car to give it a wider/better look. If so - is there anything I should look out for regarding spacers and do you think I could take them out 21mm?

I put a set of 15mm from 928 Motorsports on the back.
Very satisfied with the new look.

Thanks Bertrand - do you have the D90's too?
Do you have a pic of how they look with the spacers?

Good point! I'll have to get this checked, I assumed it wouldn't be an issue.

Mark,

The design 90 wheel was not stock on your model AFAIK so was either a special order or more likely[?] an aftermarket addition. What is the offset of your rear wheels? As I remember the design 90's that came stock on 928's had a 60mm offset and I seem to remember it was supposed to be mounted with a 17mm spacer. Thus if someone plonked these on a stock S4 they would sit 15mm further inboard than supposed to be. There are design 90 wheels available that had different offsets so good to know what we are dealing with.

That being said, I am pretty sure you will need longer studs [if you intend to use a slip on spacer] to get the correct amount of engagement on the wheel nut threads.

When I fitted the "big wheels" onto my current GTS chassis I had the opposite problem. Instead of the 255x17 ET55/8 inch wheel set up I was then mounting a 295x18 with ET60/10 inch wheels at the rear. It would fit [just and only just] but the clearance to the wheel arch was minimal and I figured that during "intense" cornering something had to flex a bit so I fitted a 24mm spacer instead of the stock GTS 38mm spacer and mounted the rear wheel with open nuts.Takes a bit longer to wind the nuts off but it is safe and I can go back to the stock setup in minutes.

The stock capped nuts have quite a good range of threading but taking 15mm of that range does not sound like something I would personally want to run with.

Rgds

Fred

According to Rob Edwards the option code 400 on my car showed it came with the Design 90 Cast Aluminium wheels, so I assume they were fitted correctly but will have to get this checked. Thanks for this.

It is really a nice looking car. It's an exotic so it can pull off the two tone.
Good luck with it.
