Default PPI in Orange County, CA - need assistance please

I'm looking for someone who could provide a PPI for a car located in northern Orange County (Anaheim area). Desire someone to be brutally honest in the good and the bad they find, and conduct a fairly rigorous, methodical PPI with photos - mechanical, electrical, interior, exterior, suspension, front and rear wheel wells, underside, engine bay, ECU codes, timing belt, lights, etc. Car has been sitting for a few years but appears in very condition.

Please PM or e-mail me if you would be willing to help or know of someone I should contact. Thank you very much!

Yeah, Greg's shop is right on the border of Anaheim and Fullerton, no one better at being brutal during a PPI. 714-879-9072.

The only question, I guess, is where on the spectrum of 'nice' is this 928 purported to be? A complete PPI from Greg is 3 hours' labor, or $360. If you're looking at a $10K+ car, then it's the cheapest $360 you'll ever spend, If it's a $2K car, then your problem list will likely be a mile long and you'd be better off spending that $360 towards a safer bet.

Thank you Rob and Mr. Hacker-Pschorr. Car is $18k+ 5 speed with low miles, 95% intact and original, nicely appointed and maintained. Looks like PM work is up-to-date and nothing obviously wrong from photos or descriptions. However, $360 is less than $3,600 (or more) and brutal honesty keeps my eyes and wallet in check - for now....

Put $5K on top of whatever you pay for deferred maintenance. These cars do not like to sit.

What year and model? How many miles?

Greg will set you right.

The one, the only - Doc Brown!

You are indeed fortunate to have this man in your corner.

Use the PPI results to negotiate the final (lower) selling price!

91 GT, 70k miles. Besides TB/WP, cam gears, what other items should I put on the deferred maintenance list?

If PM is up to date then it shouldn't automatically need a TB/WP and cam gears. How many miles/years since the last timing belt change?

Regardless, a California 70K mile '91 GT, unless it has lived outside in the sun all its life, for $18K is a heck of a deal- certainly worth a PPI, though!

If you have the VIN, I can see whether it was originally a California market car, and the options. You want to ensure that it is truly a GT....

You can easily spend a lot more than that sorting things out - again, a good PPI is worth its weight in gold.

I drove down from Northern California, plus return flights and drive, to get my car worked on by Greg. I would never take a rare car to anything other than a specialist, of which Greg is the best I know of in California.

Of course. But that is a safe number to budget.

Since he can get it for $18K--he stole it!!!
