Mirror wiring: get the tool that pops the individual contacts from the plastic housing, and make clear notes how to reassemble.

Window trim on doors: my doors had all of the weatherstrip and window channel removed along with the interior upholstery panels, so access to the trim was good but trying to pry the trim off did not seem like a good idea as the aluminum door skin would just begin to bend when pressure was applied. I spent quite some time trying to remove the trim by carefully prying and wedging before finally giving up on this technique.

I ended up using a small Harbor Freight slide hammer with one of its attachments reshaped to fit into the window channel and solidly engage the inner flange of the trim. The trim popped off quickly without damage to the door, the trim, or even the paint. It seemed almost disappointingly easy after having spent so much time before.

RET, can you further detail the slide hammer method? I need to repaint the driver's side lower window trim since the black started flaking off...
