I had a car with side pipes. Loved the sound. Hated burning my calves when getting out of the car. Just saying.

My dad had a 69 corvette with side pipes. We talked about this just last night. He even had a van with them full of kids sliding out the side door after baseball game most of us getting our tails burned as we got out. Oh, The good ole days!

Mine was a 67 Vette. The side pipes had a heat shield surround. This meant that you only burned your skin, not the underlying meat.

If you want to put side pipes on your 928 and still be able to open the doors, the pipes need to be pretty low to the ground. They probably wouldn't stay straight for very long.

It's a gorgeous design. I'd drive it. If this were going from concept to real world, and the side pipes went away, I'd be perfectly fine with that, to be honest.

we had an interesting character on here many years ago who was a side-pipe guy. Can't remember his moniker, but do remember the fun drama!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I thought the side pipes would be a bit controversial!
Appreciate the comments & ideas. This is the first of many designs I want to upload for 928 Dreaming.
I will work up a version with heat shields & a different retro paint design in the near future!
Please also stay tuned on the facebook page if you can...

Thanks again,
