Cooling fans stop running when A/C is off
My 88 S4 has had various issues this year, as soon as one thing is fixed it's another. My latest issue, the cooling fans will only run when the A/C is on. My mechanic, while installing a new radiator and running the car to make sure it works then noticed that the cooling fans won't turn on unless the A/C is turn on, well, it's winter and I wouldn't need the A/C right now so thus, no A/C no cooling fan thus the car temp gets high.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Check the connections to (and/or replace) the temperature sending unit located on the on the water bridge - there are 2 senders there - you want the drivers side one - Green & Green/Red wires.

Thanks Alan, I'll pass it along to my mechanic. The water pump was replace also and he is flushing the radiator and transmission to make sure there isn't any water inside either. Do you have a picture showing the temp sending unit? Thanks.
