Passenger Side Upper Arm vs AC Compressor
Well looking for advice again, I am moving to the passenger side upper arm nuts. These suckas are really on there. It looks like I need to drop the AC compressor. My question is do I need to discharge the AC system, or will I get enough room if I let the compressor hang. Even more fundamental, can I just let the compressor hang. thought I should ask before I do something stupid.... Again..

There's a relatively fragile wire running from the top of the compressor forward through the bracketry to plug into the front-of-engine harness near the dipstick tube. You'll need to free that completely before lowering the compressor. After that, moving the compressor in any directio that risks rotating the hose connections into the top of the manifold plate is a ticket to leakage.
We've used a shallow socket on a 1/2"-drive Harbor Freight extendable-handle ratchet for the UCA nuts, with excellent results. Compressor and air pump stay in place, undisturbed. I don't remember the AC compressor being anywhere close to in the way, FWIW.

Handy for lots of things here you need a little more leverage, or in this case when you need to get the handle down where your hands can reach it.

I love this list, that is a good find. Will pick up a ratchet tomorrow. I also do need to get the tight socket. Went by sears today, and they did not have one, so I tried my 3/8 drive with the cheater bar again.

103 ft lbs.. Dang explains a lot. I did round my first bolt, and learned to be very careful with these puppies. I just picked up my 1/2in 22mm shallow socket this AM. I was using a 3/8 drive, and the locking nut laughed at me. Wish me luck, going to tackle it on friday....

Use a 6pt socket if at all possible. 22mm is close enough to 7/8" I think for a 6pt socket (about nine-thousanths loose), if you can't find the right 22mm.
