nice looking car, but the dealer is wrong - it is a Euro based on the rear fog light. It looks good, and this could be a good grab.

strange that the owner would replace the bumper cover and put a euro foglight in. I had not seen the VIN but do now. This one would require some research before a serious run at it.

It wouldn't be the first time someone simply installed a rear fog light to "look" like a Euro.
Especially with this in the description: "which gave the car the same appearance of a Euro S"

It has been my understanding that '82 928s were detuned to meet unanticipated US mileage requirements and were overweight especially in light of the "Euro S" bolt- ons. Does anyone know if this is factual?

Physically inspected VIN, engine number, and trans number: all U.S. - not Euro. Build sticker confirms same. Gauges in English, no headlight dimmer switch beside driver's seat; rear end was modified to accept Euro brake fog light, synchros are very worn.

If anything, the "Comp Package" cars might be a bit lighter due to the all manual sport seats.
