1986.5 Black / Red 5-speed with LSD - 43k miles - need opinions on current value

Hot.
I have a 30k mile 86.5 Red/Brown that I will sell soon. Hopefully this means things are on the way up.
When its ONE or TWO a year that come up this low mileage, that's when you have to do it right at sale.

I have the same seats, the piping is faded to yellow as said. Should be red. Haven't addressed how to fix yet. Super nice car btw!!

$25 all day long. If'n that were a comparable desirable year older 911, it would be $60. An 86.5 is one of those years to grab. A 5 speed with lsd to boot. Low miles. Damn, it's almost new.

The interior is gorgeous, and full-leather in good condition makes a HUGE difference to the feel sitting in the car.
But.. its black outside, and if you don't like black, let it pass. There will be others. Read JBGold07's sig, and tell me you wouldn't prefer his car? (which also has full leather interior judging by his avatar pic)
Value-wise, my guess is $20k on the nose. Its worth more to 928 enthusiasts here on Rennlist, but most of us aren't in the market, and the average punter is conservative and boring and doesn't like/want a red interior. It could probably be sold at $23k if he waits a while, but the 928 market hasn't woken up to the point where collectors would jump on an 86.5 IMHO, versus really early or really late cars.

Its odd - my '89 has red piping on the seats and its still bright red. A local '88 has seats with the ex-red yellow piping. I wonder from time to time why my seats' piping hasn't faded.

Looks like it has full leather interior option as well , meaning leather dash / centre console ( can see the stitching ) , door trims & most likely rear quarter panels & roof lining in leather

Nice, what's not to like about the "GTS" of the Original Body style
Its worth what someone is willing to pay, 18 to 30 sounds, good to me too.
PM me if you pass on it, I know a local in MI who's looking for one to park, must be a manual.
hopefully you'll get it

Definitely low to mid 20's. With 220 rear, black, and as long as you can deal with the interior color (loved it when I saw it in a white 86.5) you're good to go.
LMK if you pass as well!

My 89 has full leather interior, same as the SE's got (leather dash/headliner/doors/quarters etc.), which is why I find it odd that its piping hasn't faded and the local SE has.

At the Auctions America May 2014 a 1985 928S 5 speed with 61,500 miles Sold for $ 11,440.
I would say $15k-$16k BUT only buy it if your in love with it. The stock market is looking very volatile so you will see some deals coming soon.

I'm planning on changing my black carpet in the 89 to bright red. Should lighten up the interior a bit. Much as I like lipstick or can-can red interiors, it would be a bit much with a Guards Red car IMO, so a red carpet kit is a good alternative for me.
Here's a pic of my '89's interior (all black, with red piping)
And a pic of another car with similar interior and red carpet

1st post. I'm in the market for an 86+ 928S, and I'm wondering why this one is so special as to fetch ~$20K? Is it because manual-transmission and LSD? Is it because of the low-mileage? Combination of both?
What's an automatic with less than 100K on it worth? They sure don't seem to go for more than $12K or so.
