Power window ground point
Quick question... my power windows and sunroof have suddenly become very slow.
Checked the wiring diagram, and all seem to share a common ground. Is it the ground point above the CE panel? On the diagram it looks to be at the base of the windshield/under the dash.
Cheers,
Ben.

Well I cleaned the ground point above the CE panel which made no difference. I had already cleaned the contacts on the switch a few days ago, so knew it wasn't that.
Took off the drivers door panel and removed the window lift assembly to find that the pinion gear was pretty much seized to the aluminium gearbox housing. Imagine lots of rust and corroded aluminium.
I did try to free it off, but I was pretty much wasting my time. I guess the rotted window seal that I replaced a while back let in too much water.
Ordered a couple of the Saab units, so I can replace the slow and whining passenger side motor while i'm at it. Glad my motors were 10 tooth!
