I'm curious, why would anyone submit a photo for possible publication with a date stamp in the image? Can't stand date stamps - even in snapshots.

Read the manual. You can turn it off.

if a picture is chosen that has the date stamp, I will photoshop it out. Not going to waste my time on them otherwise.

That would be my POS '82. Great car! Drove pi$$ out of it till the throw out bearing went. One of the pics shows parts to fix that.


I turn date of when needed but mostly it is on because sometimes it's nice to know when a shot was taken. It started when I posted pics of the car in a different place every day for two months in the random picture thread.

I admit I uploaded a few too many by accident and couldn't figure out how to delete them. But what the hey, just don't vote for them. After all, they are mostly junk pictures of a "neglected barn find" that certainly wasn't a "lawn ornament". There might be one or two in there though that are worthy.

You shouda told me, I spent a couple of hours processing all those "junk pictures" to display on the vote page and be a part of the voting process.

Sorry, didn't intend to pick on you specifically, but the date stamp in the image is a pet peeve of mine - frankly, I hate it. If you want to know when it was taken, just mouse over the image and you should be able to read the "meta" data - date taken, camera used, etc. no need to ruin the image with a stamp...

Will set up a web page to take orders when the voting closes and the pictures are set and I have picked an on-demand printer so I know the exact costs. Should be within 2 weeks.
