F*** that. The Brits should demand an apology from Argentina for their childish paranoia and the violence that ensued.

The Argentinians started the war and lost. It was over 30 years ago, they should just get over it already.
They behave quite literally like savages by throwing rocks, not to mention given Argentina a bad rap and made travel there seem dangerous. This is going to hurt them, badly.
Although I think I found my new license plate

He's currently filming in the Northern territory of Australia where pretty much there are no speed limits and the only hazards are large animals and 42 wheeled road trains.
His Twitter said "Going filming tomorrow. Will check number plate before setting off."

Lol I already ordered one of those custom Euro-style plates for the front. I'll be curious to see how many people in the "real world" actually get it.
There's an Argentinian steak house near me. I guess I'd best not take the car there!

Am I missing something humorous in the title? It's the 'Falklands'.
I've never been to Argentina, but I suspect that the vast majority of its people are welcoming. Unfortunately, a small minority of politically-motivated agitators are likely to have severely damaged its reputation. As Clarkson has said, TG has immense respect for soldiers, so would not have provoked this intentionally. From what I've read, the 928 did not have the number plate in question when they were attacked.
The Argentinian ambassador is not being very diplomatic. Clarkson should (and hopefully will) let the BBC handle this through official channels.
P.S. I'm British

There were a bunch of Argentinian folks commenting on the post by the Top Gear editor where he explained that it was an old plate, etc etc, saying how embarrassed they were that a few of their fellow countrymen were behaving like idiots. I would certainly never assume that the majority of folks were responsible. However, I do claim my god-given right to poke fun at stupid people, even if it gets me in trouble from time to time.
