Default Red 928S at the auction - anyone want it?

Hey guys,

My friend and I have dealer licenses and buy cars for people at the Dealer Only auctions. There's a red 1986 928 S coming up tomorrow with 136,000 miles at the auction here in Riverside, CA.

Anyone interested? I could get it for you at a pretty good price I would imagine! Most of the buyers there aren't in the market for cars like this, so I probably won't have much competition.

I actually sat in this thing a few days ago, thinking it had been run through already, but it was for this week's auction it turns out. Pretty good condition. You'll see in the photos.

If you're interested shoot me a PM. I would post my number, but I don't think mods would allow that.

I wanted to see if there was interest in this because it'll most likely head to the junkyard if no one bids on it tomorrow. I know you guys don't want that.

(If this post isn't allowed, please let me know or delete it. Also, sorry if it isn't allowed, I'm just trying to help the community.)

Default and a half?

or, some great parts for a dismantler...

Looks somewhat original with the stereo....nothing on that door pillar though.

Of course the trip odo is conspicuous for being 0s, so maybe the reg odo is busted.

I'm interested. I have cash to spend. I will buy based on the following info.

Engine run?
Trans shift?
Brakes stop?
Heater/AC work?
Repaint?
Body damage?
Salvage title?

Of course the big question is HOW MUCH do you think it will go for?

It's not fair to send only a PM, as other might be interested. I'll go $2000 with no further info as above. With further info, I might go higher.

The car appears to be too nice to go to the junkyard/dismantlers.

Br3nn4n, what do they normally start the opening bids at?
(just wondering what's the minimum someone would need to pay)

The T handle is correct. But the car is backwards.

This car is not cheap (not a bad deal either). They ran it through last week and it did not sell. I was watching it and as it did not have any pictures so I was hoping it was a manual.

There's a BIN for $7500 on the car.

I really don't have all that much info on it. I remember when I sat in it that the shifter was very loose, so almost certainly it's turned around. Here's the damages:

alabbasi - Which auction was it at?

It's been hit so many times they can barely keep track.

$2k is about right, not knowing the eng/trans/AC/brakes/diff/elec work needed.
