Default Resistance readings-plug wires

Hi All

Trying to track down a stumble/hesitation/possible misfire? at low revs. This condition i can feel as i pull away from a stop, or lug the car in 4th or 5th.Car idles smoothly enough and i cant really feel the "stumble" other than when noted above.

wondering about the following values(tested with MM on 20k ohms)

#1=3.08 #5=2.88
#2=2.88 #6=3.13
#3=3.10 #7=2.89
#4=3.06 #8=3.04
Coil wire at 1.01

Wires are Beru's

I have done a compression test, numbers were consistent and i know i have spark from distributor to plug wires, coil was new last year, plugs are brand new.

Focusing on eliminating spark from the equation. What do the numbers say about the wires?i know they're not what they should be based on length, but don't know how far out they are from what they should be.

Thanks for any advice,

Cheers,

How old is the green wire?

Unsure of the age of the green wire, but it looks pretty fresh(i know that doesnt really mean anything).
I searched previously to find a way to test the green wire with the mm, but did not find an answer-maybe its in the wsm?
I do not think it is spark/ignition related and suppose it to be fuel related, but i do not have any experience so i am trying to be methodical without having to blanket bomb the car with replacement parts.
Have just replaced also the wiring harness 14pin to starter with the new 928MS unit, as part of TB/WP and top end refresh(don't know if that is relevant)

Thanks,

How was the car before you replaced the harness??

I am sure the harness is fine but always go back to what you replaced/worked on last.

Roger, i cannot say for a certainty that it wasn't like that before, but i do not think it was.
I understand that a valid strategy is to go back to what you did to it last, but in this case i affected a great many things at the same time.
The "hesitation" is pretty mild, just enough to be a bit annoying

TB/WP complete with porkensioner( have checked the timing twice-all is good)
top end refresh(every hose on the top side of the engine was replaced)
new wiring harness
new injector terminals
new tempII sensor
new fuel lines(top side) not including fuel rails but including GB's main feed and return lines.

Trying to be pragmatic about eliminating "what it isn't" in an effort to get to "what it is"

Was just wondering if the resistance ratings on my plug wires could be telling me that i'm not getting good enough spark.
In my limited understanding, i perceive it is far more likely to be electrical or fuel related, but trying one thing at a time.( or perhaps it is getting just a wee bit too much air when the throttle is initially opened?)

Regards,

It looks like you're unscrewing the ignition wires from the distributor cap connectors, no? Check those boots, too, to make sure they're near 1kOhm.

The spark plug boots are supposed to be 3kOhm, so you look pretty good there.
