Default Porsche 928 GTS rotors for sale. Porsche / New

I just bought some brand new in box rotors for my race car, but have converted to the two piece racing rotor , so I need to sell these.

I paid a new wholesale cost of about $500, but would take $425 plus shipping

I think the best prices ive seen on line have been around $240 each.

These are genuine Porsche 928 GTS rotors. (left and right)

Mark

What would be involved with making these fit an '86.5, any idea? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be needing rotors soon.

Bigger dust shields and bigger calipers. Otherwise they'll bolt right up.

do you have the S4 calipers??? if so, I have the spacers and then they bolt right up after a little grinding on the caliper edges.

if you have S calipers... I have the spacer/brackets made too. I can sell you them.

The car is still being shipped, it's not here yet...but being as it's an 86.5 it SHOULD have the S4 brakes now.

Yeah, don't grind on your S4 calipers. Your insurance company might frown on that if you ever have the misfortune of rear ending someone..

BTW, Mark, save yourself 3 paragraphs of typing about how it's perfectly safe to grind calipers, you've run 120 track days safely with ground calipers, etc etc., I respectfully disagree and you're not going to change my mind.

well, if you understand the structures, and forces, you could make a case of how it doesn't effect anything, or does.
being fearful is good. understanding is even better.
I don't know for sure how much I weakened the calipers, but the proof is in that the calipers worked fine and didn't show any cracking over several years of racing. the structure seems to remain intact. the aluminum at the edges doesn't seem to do much.
But, I understand if someone is reluctant to grind off the edges of the S4 calipers. I just don't think its a danger.

I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough to know, or handy enough to do it properly lol. If I had budget for all new brakes I'd definitely grab these rotors and then replace the calipers as well, but I don't at the moment.

yeah, this isn't promoting S4 to GTS conversion, but that certainly can be a easy change.

what this is , is two brand new rotors that I bought wholesale and am willing to sell to the listers at a big discount. Ill take a $100 loss on them just to find them a home quickly.

otherwise, its ebay!
