Early Euro in MD Salvage Yard
I came across this unit in Elwood's in Smithsburg, MD. Didn't notice the Euro fender marker right away, no production date sticker in the door jamb...found the metal plate in the engine bay. Manual trans with brown interior, looks to have started life Oak green. 1979?

Yes, I forgot to mention that...though immediately after seeing that I looked at the fender thinking it might be a Euro model. The seats are gone, and there is water in the floors (well, the passenger side anyway). It also has a rear spoiler.
Is it a '79?

Wonder how much they'd want for the whole car.

Mark, I'm sure not much money would be needed. The trick is in getting the whole car - salvage yards are not in the biz of selling them whole.
They would need to be convinced that selling it whole, at a fair price, is the right thing to do.

As few dedicated 928 owners as there and with the plethora of rotting parts cars out there that 'ran when it was parked' or 'just needs a fuel pump', it shouldn't be too hard to get them to part with it.
But, it sure doesn't look like there's much that's salvageable in there...

I couldn't spend too much time at it, but the engine was there and looked complete. Definitely not as nice a resurrection project as the Minerva '78 Euro I found at another MD yard last year.
