Default Cranking long time before starting

Hi 87/S4 cranking long time before starting in morning when cold and when hot after running and up to normal temp .

Check/replace temp II sensor.

pull the vacuum lines from the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the dampers,
smell them for fuel if you smell fuel then all 3 parts should be replaced.

To test try holding the pedal to the floor then cranking. this clears the flooding

Also run a few bottles of techron in the fuel system as well as 6oz of MMO per tank this will keep the injector cleaned and the pump working well

Check your sensors before replacing them. I've got a long cranking issue, too, but my Temp II sensor is in perfect spec.
