Wheel colour for manholes
Thinking of painting my wheels, just to clean them up for a season or two.
What do you think, silver or gun metal?

Gotta agree on the silver. Gunmetal might work on a darker car..not on the white. The white and silver combo is gorgeous!

why not white? These wheels look great painted the body color, and white works well. I've seen one and really like it.

I always loved the look of the white wheels on the 10AE RX-7.
I just don't know if I can be happy trying to keep white wheels clean. ?

Silver. And a lovely looking car. But I may be biassed ...
As it happens I have my S4 manholes on the GT at the moment and they look OK.
They're not stark silver but they seem to have the faintest faintest hint of something towards gold.
As for white - I think painted white should be on something screaming of muscles and performance.
'90 GT White on Black
'89 S4 Diamond Blue Metallic on Black.

Go with silver and if you think you might like gunmetal, just don't wash the brake dust off for a few weeks.
And yes I've seen manholes where the anodizing had a gold tint to them, it was on a gold car.
