Is this noise normal for an S4?
Hello, this is not my S4 but I also have an '89 and it does make the same tapping sound. Fast forward to 5:05 when he opens up the hood. Is that sound normal?

Sounds normal to my crappy ears. Injectors ticking. I recall someone putting insulation on the fuel rails to cut down on the noise... Dwayne. I never heard whether this cuts down on the noise or not.

You will definitely notice a lifter sound from this ticking, lifters are more of a "clacking" sound if that means anything to you!

yep thats a normal injector clicking noise ,
Now you could add about 6 oz of MMO to the fuel and it may quiet them down a touch

Injector ticking.
Rember the injectors are 'gang' fired ie all at once, rather than in sequence.
This causes large start/stop of fuel flow which accentuates the ticking sound.
Put your finger on an exposed part of a fuel rail and you'll feel it quite distinctly.
Otherwise sounds the same as my S4 and GT.

Race Car
Blacks whites and reds always look the BEST!!
You actually grabbed the "CS" or Club Sport design in your paint and lighting with out having a club sport sticker on it. Amazing! You have got to love design concepts. That is the first time I have seen it on a non sticker car.
My engine sounds the same.
