Excellent job. I am always scared of the auto tranny.

With having to pry the K1 drum off the gear set I should have guessed. Next time I'll know

You can say that again. Especially considering he's never even seen one of these trans-axles.
He must be 'The One'

He is extremely professional and fast. I recommend Adrian to anyone needing a automatic rebuild. You pull the unit and he takes it from there.

I am happy to announce that today I installed the exhaust system and filled the fluids. All forward gears are operational and reverse as well. Without Adrian at German Transmission I would have been lost. Now I will get an alignment and do my final adjustments. I adjusted the modulating pressure and took it for a test drive. The shifts are now crisp and smooth! Shark fest here I come!!

I had the 4 wheel alignment performed today and took the car for an extended drive. Just a little adjustment of the Bowden cable and we are done. Driving the car home today! She shifts smooth and firm.

I my 928's transmission is in need of a transmission rebuild. I've rebuilt several engines and smaller gear boxes in the past. I've decided to dive in and tear it down personally. I've got access to a lift and tools to get the Trans out and the room to rebuild it. Best of all my wife is the one that is encouraging me to try! What the heck. If I can't figure it out I've got resources to have it rebuilt by a pro. Besides I want to know why it died! Am I nuts? Ok let me have it! My deadline for this is sharkfest! In October!

I am nuts. After pulling and rebuilding twice, my transmission is still acting badly. Im going to pull the pan once more tonight to look and see if something is amiss. Adrian suggests its time to get another Core to rebuild. I have a line on one from Dan at Exotic Motorsports. If that is needed Adrian is standing behind his work. Once more into the breach.

They can be difficult, especially if someone has been there before you and they don't work. Figuring out what they did wrong can be really difficult, if you are not intimately familiar with the pieces.

A different core might be the answer, but from what you've said about Adrian, I'm surprised he can't fix the one you've got.

After two times having the unit apart it is obvious something is more at work than burned clutches. So starting with a good known core that has not failed might be a better course of action. If I wanted him to try again he would. I'm not interested in setting records on the most times removing a 928 transmission.
