Default 24 hours of lemons in a 928

Hi all I have a 1979 928 I'm racing in the 24 hours of lemons. Got it for $50 with no drive train and a big hole In the fire wall where they were attempting to install a Chevy 350 set back about a foot from stock position. I've finished the transplant with a sbc and a ford 8.8 rear end mating the Porsche outer half shafts to ford inners. Used a sleeve to mate these then welded in pins after one spun. Using a Borg Warner 4 speed manual transmission.
Hope this doesn't offend any purists here. Lol. It's a fun race and the Porsche seemed like a good choice at the time.
It has the stock boge suspension and drives like a boat. Weight transfer is huge. Sway from front to back and side to side.
I've heard that the koni shocks with eibach springs would improve the stiffness and handling. We've tried to shorten the frond springs by 1.5 coils and adjusted the ride height by heating the coils to level the car.
I haven't been able to find any replacement springs for the boge shocks that are stiffer so thought switching to the konis might offer the best performance.

So anyone have a used set of koni/eibach they will part with for cheap.
Or have any other suggestions on how to make the car handle decently.

Ty for any advice.

Best of luck in the race.

Since for some reason it wont let me PM you.

When did you need them by? I have a koni/eibach set(currently on the car with around 12k of use) I'd be willing to part with but need to have something to switch over to first.

Sounds like your shocks are toast? If the shocks are original, they probably don't do much anymore. The original early shocks were oil filled, not gas.

Phone Mark Anderson at 928intl.com - he was parting out a race car a week or two ago, plus he raced 928's for over a decade, so he might be able to give you hints, and be able to supply good used parts. (928intl.com are in SoCal, and they've been dismantling 928's for many years).

Kelanel. No hurry. I have a race sept 12-13 but not essential to change before then. Not sure why we can't pm each other. I'll look into it.

Im also parting out a 928 race car. Ive got a set of double adjustable jrz's that will likely cost you 50 laps if the judges see them...
