And Constantine can confirm, but I don't believe Coca Cola was ever involved, or even aware for that matter! Even if they were, they'd probably assume since it was a 25+ yr old car, that they did sponsor it way back when!

I put the graphics on the car right before it was run at the 2007 48 Hours of Sebring event by Mark Anderson. I was trying to give it a vintage race feel and had always liked the Coca-Cola sponsored 935s and 962s of the mid 1980's. Since this 928 is red and a 1986.5, I put the Coca -Cola livery on it.
It took more than a few tries to get the side stripes just right with the numbers. It wasn't a cheap or easy thing to do, but I did like the outcome, as did others.
Can't wait to see it back on track.

Hey everyone.
I got to see the car in person on Friday (I think it was Friday). It's pretty torqued. But John and his frame guy seemed pretty confident that they could do it. I got a replacement hood and fender from Sharks (our Sharks in Hell Host) for starters so they can line stuff back up. I don't ever expect it to be perfect, but it should be good enough.
We still have a long way to go.
If we can get it to take an alignment, we'll be on the streets in the spring.

Ten years later the Coke Car is straight and running strong. What a fun adventure since I was at Sebring when Mark Anderson drove it and at Rennsport reunion. Constatine and I have had a few laughs about this car chasing me all over the country. Oddly my wife encouraged me to buy it. How many wives encourage the purchase of a race car?
A nice flurry of real snow for its arrival a few years ago after AO got it all straightened out.
