New 928 owner says "hello"
Greetings,
As of Friday, my family and I are the proud new owners of a 1981 928S Euro,
courtesy of Rennlist member "RLich8" !
After a few phone calls and emails, my oldest son and I travelled about 5 hours to see the car and meet the owner. The car was just as advertised, and an incredible amount of time and effort has already gone into our new 928.
We expect delivery sometime this week, I can't wait to post a few pics.
additionally, THANK YOU RENNLIST for such an amazing resource, I look forward to becoming less of a "lurker" now that we share a common marque.
Cheers!
Dan

Welcome, Dan. I suspect I'll still hang around here from time to time.
Dan and his son Jacob will carry on the next generation of my car. I had to let it go. Things have changed a lot in my family and business. My father and I don't have the time, and he is no longer physically able to work on cars. A 928 requires an exotic maintenance program, I would rather see this car in the hands of folks who can finish the last 10% or 15% of it rather than it sit in my garage unattended. As a great-running, solid-body true Euro/RoW, it's a car worth saving and finishing. I also have 2 E-Type V12 convertibles for sale if anyone is interested...
Anyways, Dan, welcome to the forums here. This is an invaluable resource and a welcoming, dedicated crew. You can't own a 928 without this forum unless you have tens of thousands of dollars to blow. You're getting a good car and with a handful of small projects, I think you'll be addicted.
The transporter is on his way now, she will be headed to you shortly!
