original 87 s4 dish rims, which color.
Hi, friends,
I took her out for a spin today. I bursted the clutch pipe and went back home one more time as tow truck co-driver.
While the hydraulic guy was putting new hose on the old terminals, I had some time to spot the sad aspect of PO paint on my rims. The look is terrible. The paint job did not stand the high temps of brakes in track days.
So I decided to paint them the proper way and the rim shop will collect them next tuesday.
The obvious question is: Which color? I did a search through coolest rims and other threads and the only three options I could spot over a thousand photos (people don't like dishes, I think) were:
1) silver (matte). Original.
2) chrome.
3) bright red.
I was thinking about dark (brake-dust) matte grey or something.
Does somebody around has some other examples and opinions about which color to put on original s4 rims?
Mine is an 87 s4 dark blue.
Thanks!

original color is Zermatt silber this is a gloss finish
I think this color will look the best on your dark blue car,
I would stay away from chrome and non standard colors on the wheels

I didn't follow MrMerlin advice and went on a non-standard color, anthracite.
In case somebody wonders how it looks (sorry phone cam):
I will put some more photos when the caps are painted, angle is not good but results are awesome (to me).
