I ordered one on eBay from Peter last night. Thanks to Hayden for starting this thread. I did not know that these were available.

Hi Rich, will do. I already received an email saying that the console lid was shipped, but the estimated date of delivery is June 26 - July 8.

The ad says that the padded center console lid doubles the storage. How so? Is there an inner cover that allows for things to be stored inside the lid?

Looks like an awesome product, I'm just concerned it wont match the bottom half of my console/cassette box. Has anyone recovered the bottom section to match?

Dave,
Look at post 15, Bob Voskian's pic. The console lid has a greater height. By definition this would increase the volume. I'm looking for a clean look and something to flop my arm on sometimes. I remember long ago I had an 86.5 with this type of console lid. I remember not liking the thinner one when I got my S4.

I think that Paul Champagne does this sort of thing as well. The quality, for people that have seen his work, is world class.

I got one from EBay, from Thailand.

Very happy with the quality.

This is precisely the kind of thing that I ending up spending my money on, when I should be saving it for a more important project.
But damn, it looks great, and only $60...

Can one technically 'beat' Paul Champagne with more Paul Champagne?

Lol...right on!

I have a factory version made be Porsche that rather then a lid height extension has roughly a 3'' extension from the base up. The standard inner lining and lid are used. It gives you a lot more space to store goods.

Hey Bob, I think we ordered on the same day and I rcvd. mine today too. Quality unit - sits higher than what I had which is what I really wanted - simple, plain and right for the price.
