For Sale - 93 928GTS 5-speed
Well, at one time I thought I would be buried in this car. Times change and I’ve moved on to a 991, 911. I know I will regret this decision someday, but given my current situation I don’t have a choice. If interested PM, e-mail jim@mayzurk.com or call 817-five 22-six 222. Any of the DFW crew can tell you anything you want to know about this car.
Asking $42.5K, mileage is 129K, silver over classic gray. The car was originally owned and re-built by Mark Anderson of 928 International, so it has a salvage title. That was never a problem for me given my original intention. This has been a very personal car that I extensively modified with improvements that, for me, make it the perfect GTS. It’s also been a daily driver so it’s not perfect. Are any of them perfect for a car that’s 21 years old?
Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, 928 Specialist Front and Rear Sway Bars.
2.5” Jet hot coated X-pipe W/300 cell cats & 2.5” cat back mandrel bent exhaust.
928GT cams w/24 Lb. injectors, Porken tensioner, W/air pump delete. Dyno’d at 339 HP.
928s-R-Us Enhanced Intake System (also the orig. air cleaner), Provent Air/Oil separator
Modified engine belly pan for easier oil changes, Volvo motor mounts.
Custom fiberglass inlet shroud radiator cover, custom aluminum oil fill cover
Greg Brown oil/water cooler set up in series with oil/air cooler with new Behr radiator
Nitrile foam hood liner with Porsche crest
Paul Champagne custom Sport Seats, door panels & luggage cover W/door and seat nets
Paul Champagne recovered Momo steering wheel (air bag delete) plus the original wheel.
Alpine 9805 radio/CD player with Alpine XM radio
Rockford Fosgate door speakers with 6” Orion woofers
Rear Seat delete with 10” Infinity 1050w Sub-woofer (separate amp)
Custom 3 gauges in ashtray location with VDO gauges, relocated cig. lighter in package shelf.
Custom installation of Arm1 air-fuel-ratio gauge in center console (below radio)
Under door mounted LED exit lights, VW dome lights, Custom LED 3rd brake light
Sound absorbing material: (Dynamat) Doors, floors, rear deck and wheel wells with new style Porsche rear wheel well liners. Jerry Feather spare tire cover
Kenesis K28R wheels 9” front, (255/35x18”) Michelin Super Sport, 11” rear, (315/30x18”) Michelin PS 2. Two new 315/30x18 Yoko Adven Sport tires included
H4 headlights with 80/100w bulbs & wiring mod (Hi & low beams on together on Hi).
Porsche cast hole rotors, red calipers, 993TT (r) calipers and rotors, 45 Bar Brake Bias valve
Deleted rear wiper and front headlight washers
Clear front turn and side marker lenses with Euro filler panels
Tinted rear tail light lenses, Body color rear bumperetts
Recent Maintenance: 3 angle valve job with all new valve seals, cam belt and water pump and new rollers and actuator for the tensioner, powder coated intake and cam covers. New Porsche front engine harness, crank angle sensor, windshield, Behr radiator, alternator, battery all within the last 12 months.

For those not familiar with Jim's car, it is one of the most tastefully and thoughfully updated GTS 5-speeds I've known. It's a spare-nothing example, and the workmanship, quality and care are pretty obvious. The pictures don't do the car justice.

Man I hate to see this car go. It was Jim who let me drive this car when I was wanting to get a 928. I was hooked after the first drive and will be thankful for his kindness and patience with all my questions. Whomever gets this car is getting a well sorted 928 and a flat out, fast as sh*t 928. It's not a stroker but you feel like your in one.
Have fun in that 991 Jim. See ya around.

I plan to always be around this great group of owners. Like PCA says, "It's not the cars, it's the people." The 928 is in my blood and someday there may be another.

I have to weigh in... spectacular car.... and Jim is the consumate 928 owner... thinking out every mod and going the extra mile on maintenance, not defering anything... He bought this car to keep and kept it maintained as such.... amazing car......

Jim and I both bought our GTS's at about the same time. Jim has pampered this car to the extreme and spared no expense. If it wasn't for the 5 speed gearbox it would be nearly as fast as my RogerBox GTS 8>).
This car is VERY fast and the addition of the GT cams coupled with the other mods really woke up the car - exactly as Porsche should have done from the factory.
The interior is immaculate in every way and the sport seats are a delight to sit in. I have traveled thousands of miles with Jim as his passenger and this car gobbles miles like I drink red wine.
The salvage title means nothing at this price. This is a drivers car and not meant to be a garage Queen.
I can't remember how many awards the car has won. Car of the show at OCIC Wichita.
Someone is going to get one of, if not THE, best 928's out there.

That custom moulded radiator shroud/intake is so well done. Someone needs to make these....
