Default Top End Refresh, Cam Covers, Et al

Been meaning to get around to this for about the last year.
GTS had developed a half throttle stumble and after 20 years and 84K miles on her, it was about time for this job....

Coordinated Parts with Roger, Powdercoating with Ben Genoveve at Legend Garage, and finally was able to get Sean to squeeze me in before 3rd Coast.
Ben had cores so he was able to ship intake, Cam Covers, waterbridge and neck to Sean to minimize downtime. Roger walked me through the AssTon of parts I'd need for the job.. and made sure Sean had everything. Finally Sean did the heavy lifting. I was there for moral support, beer, grunt work, and cleaning. Glad Sean has done a ton of these as he made a long job look easy!

Get her all buttoned up and find out the external fuel pump was dead..
Sean diagnosed and Roger had internal, external, and filter there the next day.

Finally picked her up yesterday and I've got to say that the car has never run so smooth, looked so good or pulled so hard!!

Attached a few pics of the job. Really glad I got this all buttoned up before 3rd Coast!! Thx to Rog, Sean, and Ben!!

Nice! Hope to have my S4 like this one day. Have quite a lot more to do than a tune up/refresh though.

Wow, looks like you could eat off that engine compartment. That is amazingly clean. Awesome install Sean. Chuck, can't wait to see it at 3rd coast! You are bringing it, right?

Chuck, I always voted for your car in my top 3 at all our shows/events. Now with that engine all spiffed up, I see more hardware in your future. Just a really sharp car all the way around.

Looking great! Just wondering - is your GTS a ROW version?

Nope just another boring USA 5 speed in desperate need of a transplant.

Interesting because it has/had the test port on the y-tube from the throttle body to the oil filler neck, haven't seen that on US models only on ROW models.
